Norfolk State University was awarded a $2.3 million
grant from the Office of the Director of National
Intelligence
(ODNI) in the fall of 2006 to establish an
Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence or
IC-CAE. The goal of the IC-CAE is to prepare students
for leadership positions in government service with a
specific emphasis on developing those critical skills
necessary to begin a career in the Intelligence
Community.
If you are
interested in completing the National Security
Certificate or becoming study abroad
participant, then complete the IC Scholars
Application and return it to the IC-CAE Program

Biotech Summer Program for High School Students
coming soon
ICCAE is offering a
two-week non-residential program for current
high school students (including rising
freshman).Its main objective is to
stimulate interest in careers in the
intelligence community, bio-security,
biotechnology and environmental, sciences.
Students will have an opportunity to pilot an
on-line introductory course in Arabic.

The Norfolk school division launched a formal Arabic language program this summer, with help from Norfolk State University's Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence.
The center is using part of a federal grant to pay for Norfolk's summer class and Arabic courses at Maury and Norview High schools starting this fall.
