NSU Spirit Program Virtual/In-Person Tryouts – May 19-21, 2023.
Interest Meeting: Friday May 12, 2023, at 6:30PM EST (Zoom) and Monday May 15, 2023 at 6:30PM EST (Zoom)
Video Submission and Application Deadline: Wednesday May 17, 2023, by 8:00PM.
Tryout Process
As we have for the past few years, we have implemented a Hybrid Tryout Process for the selection of the 2023-2024 NSU Cheer Team. We are committed to ensuring each candidate is provided with the opportunity to showcase their talent while assuring the health and safety of our student-athletes and coaching staff. Tryouts for the upcoming season will be held both virtually and in-person in compliance with university and USA Cheer/AACCA safety guidelines.
The Office of Student Activities & Leadership will host virtual and in-person tryouts on May 19-21, 2023. Tryouts are open to ALL NSU Students including admitted freshmen and transfer students. Please refer to the NSU Tryout Video Requirements for details regarding tryouts. Video submissions will be reviewed and evaluated based on skills outlined in the requirements. If selected in the preliminary round, virtual and in-person tryouts and interviews will take place on May 20-21, 2023. Students will be required to have a current physical prior to attending in-person clinics and tryouts which should be completed by your primary care physician or the Spartan Health Center.
