Deposit Information

Norfolk State University has four deposit types that apply to students. The deposit types are Residential Room Deposit, Enrollment Deposit, New Student Orientation Deposit, and Graduation Deposit.

Residential Room Deposit

All students who desire to live in the residential halls will be required to pay a non-refundable annual housing deposit of $300.

The deposit is due at the time the residential housing application is submitted or prior to residential housing application deadline. Partial payments will not be accepted. The residential room deposit will be allocated towards current residential charges.

enrollment Deposit

Upon acceptance to Norfolk State University, all first-time freshmen and transfer students are required to pay a $100 non-refundable enrollment deposit. Partial payments will not be accepted. The enrollment deposit will be allocated towards current charges.

New Student Orientation Deposit

Upon acceptance to Norfolk State University, all first-time freshmen and transfer students are required to pay a $100 non-refundable new student orientation deposit. Partial payments will not be accepted. This deposit will be allocated towards current charges.

Graduation Deposit

Upon application to graduate from Norfolk State University, all graduating students are required to pay a $130 non-refundable graduation deposit.

Students are also required to pay a $50 graduation application fee each time they apply for graduation. Partial payments will not be accepted. The graduation deposit will be allocated towards current charges.
