Work Study

About

Work-study provides eligible students another means of meeting their financial obligations to the university. It is a beneficial program that allows students to gain valuable experience and networking opportunities. Students can work up to 20 hours per week (up to 6 hours per day) during the academic year. Students are paid biweekly on Friday at hourly rates based upon their classification.

Student Center's NEw Student Work Study Eligibility Requirements

1. You must show proof (Award letter or Email from Mrs. Bonney) that you are awarded Federal Work-study for the current semester Fall, Spring, or Summer term.  Please bring your printed proof.

2. After showing proof, we will provide you with the necessary paperwork to be completed. You will submit the entire packet (to include the current year’s tax forms) to our office for review.

You are required to bring:

  • You must have your Social Security Card, NSU Spartan Card or Birth Certificate optional.
    • You need the original documents, not a picture.
  • After getting the Department Head Signatures on placement card, and HR1 form, we will turn your paperwork to Financial Aid Office for processing.

This process can take up to two weeks or shorter if your forms are filled out correctly.

*Returning student workers only need to submit a Placement Card to the Financial Aid Office for processing.*

Note: You play a vital role in the success of the operation of the Student Center. Your dedication and hard work is required to run the day-to-day operations and activities of the Student Center. All work study students will be required to work during the operational hours of the Student Center.

(Operations hours and days my change)

We look forward to having you work with us.
