Welcome to GenCyber Dream Team Academy!

Norfolk State University (NSU) provides educational opportunities such as camps and scholarship. The GenCyber Teacher Camp will introduce a curriculum that teachers in the STEM area and other interested teachers can use to introduce the GenCyber concepts in their classrooms in a fun and engaging approach. High school teachers will receive instructions in designing lesson plans for delivering cybersecurity content associated with GenCyber concepts. These concepts include various topics in cybersecurity, safe online behavior, cyber ethics, and career opportunities.

Our vision is for the GenCyber Dream Team Academy program to be part of the solution to the Nation's shortfall of skilled cybersecurity professionals. Ensuring that enough young people are inspired to direct their talents in this area is critical to the future of our country’s national and economic security as we become even more reliant on cyber-based technology in every aspect of our daily lives.

To ensure a level playing field, applications to the NSU GenCyber camps are open to all teacher participants at no cost on a competitive basis. Funding is provided jointly by the National Security Agency and the National Science Foundation. GenCyber virtual camp is planned for Monday, June 28, 2021 - Friday, July 9, 2021 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
