  • Employment opportunities within the lodging industry are expected to grow by 9%, which is as fast as the average, and the median annual wage was $59,430 in May 2021.
  • Employment of meeting, convention and event planners is projected to grow 18%, which is much faster than average, and the median annual wage was $49,470 in May 2021.

The fluctuation and projected growth of all these areas is related to the recovery from the COVID-19 recession that began in 2020.  

How Do I Get Started in the Bachelor’s in Tourism and Hospitality Management at NSU?

Transferring to NSU

If you’ve taken courses from other regionally accredited colleges and universities, you may be able to apply that credit to your NSU degree in business. You may also receive credit for equivalent non-business courses taken from other colleges and universities, including those in the Virginia Community College System (VCCS). Our Office of Transfer Admissions & Services (OTAS) can help you have a seamless and positive transfer process.
