I credit NSU the most for where I am today. Because I hadn’t taken the idea of going to college seriously while in high school, I didn't know what to expect. NSU built me into a scholar, a thinker and a leader. NSU really embodies our motto of “Achieving Excellence. Success Beyond Measure." I have been on the Dean’s List and University honor roll. I currently have an overall GPA of 3.23. Since I have been at NSU, I have participated in internships, one most notably at AARP—E&O’s Financial Security.
NSU has the best faculty in the land—not just in the business school, but all over the campus from health professor Ms. Khaliah Wilson to political science professor Carol Pretlow. Within the business school, it's like a family. If you ever need help with anything, Ms. Sylvia Brooks and Ms. Wilhemena Cornick are there whenever you need them. I must credit Dr. Jim Chen for helping me fully understand the vision of the School of Business. I will be a leader in business thanks to Dr. Reddy Dondeti, Dr. Carl McGowan, Dr. Melinda Harris-Peoples, Dr. Sidika Colakoglu, Dr. Edwin Wu, Dr. Moncef Belhadjali, Dr. Enrique Zapatero, Dr. Macki Sissoko, Dr. Bhagaban Panigrahi, and professor Josephine Stanley-Brown. I am grateful to them for teaching me all that I know. I can't forget Dr. Robin Marable for making me a better student by affording me the opportunity of tutoring for the Spartan Success Center and Mrs. Sheryll Heard for helping me along the way.
Once you go to NSU, you won't want to be anywhere else. NSU challenges you in a way that makes you automatically start challenging yourself. You begin seeking to know more, ultimately becoming a better you. NSU is a great place to begin your journey, and I am a testimony to that!
