Dr. Yatish T. Shah, professor of engineering and co-director of the Hodge Institute for Entrepreneurship, has completed the book “Biofuels and Bioenergy: Processes and Technologies” with co-author Sunggyu Lee of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
Dr. Govindarajan Ramesh, professor of biology, has been invited to join the editorial board of the World Journal of Respirology. His term will end December 31, 2015.
Dr. Cassandra Newby-Alexander, professor of history, recently delivered a major presentation, "Remembrances, Commemorations and the Spirit Voice: Sacred Spaces in Hampton Roads," which was filmed with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities and will be part of the Remembering Slavery public lecture presentation program.
For the second consecutive year, Dr. Charles H. Ford, professor and chair of History, was selected as a lead reviewer by the National Council for the Social Studies and the National Accreditation of Teacher Education to evaluate secondary social studies programs for the spring cycle.
