  Pretlow Co-Authors Textbook

In a collaborative effort, Carol J. Pretlow, associate professor of political science, has co-authored and edited the textbook, "American Government: Strategic Thinking in Race, Politics and Power." It presents an examination of the relationship between politics, government and culture while focusing on an analysis of the core components of the American political system. Associated in writing and editing the textbook are Dr. Charles G. Turner, chair, Department of Political Science, California State University, Chico; Dr. Robert J. Bresler, national affairs editor of USA Today: The Magazine of the American Scene; Dr. Robert J. Friedrich, associate professor, Department of Government, Franklin and Marshall College; Dr. Joseph J. Karlesky, co-author of "The State of Academic Science: The Universities in the Nation's Research Effort;" and Prof. Donald Grier, author of “Campaigns and the Court: The U.S. Supreme Court in Presidential Elections."
