Applications and information packets for VA educational benefits are available in the Office of Veterans Affairs. Upon admission, students who are eligible for Veterans Administration education benefits should contact the Veterans Affairs Office.
Students can apply for VA Education Benefits online. Use the Veterans Online Application using the VONAPP website http://vabenefits.vba.va.gov Complete Form 22-5090 if you are applying for benefits based on being a dependent or spouse of a service connected injured or deceased veteran. Use Form 22-1990 for all other programs. Students may also complete Form 22-5495 or 22-1995 if they are receiving benefits and need to notify VA that they are changing schools or programs of study.
Documents required to apply for benefits from the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs are available at www.gibill.va.gov or at the Norfolk State University Veterans Affairs Office.
