Dr. Patricia Lynch Stith Student Success Center - Advising Program

The PLSSSC academic advising program is an important component in the educational process at Norfolk State University.  SSC academic advisors aim to establish a progressive scholastic relationship by engaging students in making informed decisions about their academic, social, and personal goals.  Our collaborative advising system connects students with different members of the advising community to include professional advisors, faculty advisors, and DACs (Departmental Advising Coordinators).  The SSC advising model purports to enhance academic advising communication campus-wide to support the University’s retention and graduation efforts.

Services provided by PLSSSC academic advisors include:

  • Face-to-face consultations
  • Academic skill development
