Introduction

College of Liberal Arts is the largest of the five academic units at Norfolk State University. Departments and programs in the College of Liberal Arts are committed to assisting students in developing the essential attributes of a liberal education which are the ability to: develop questions, evaluate evidence, think critically, represent ideas fairly, weigh competing claims, reach sound judgments, construct arguments, and express ideas clearly and effectively.
