The Honors College: Discipline-Specific Honors Programs Office (DSHP), established through a Title III grant, is designed to augment the existing University honors programs and provide additional opportunities for academically, distinguished, highly motivated undergraduate students to pursue academic study that challenges their interests and abilities, develop their leadership skills, utilize Web 2.0 technologies, and acquire research skills, which are needed to be successful in graduate school or in a professional career. Discipline-Specific Honors Programs are departmental or college/school honors programs coordinated by an honors liaison for that respective college or school. Honors liaisons are appointed by their respective academic deans.
