All financial holds on a student's record must be cleared before a transcript will be released and payment must be received before transcript is mailed. Please allow 10 business days for processing all official transcript requests.
Enrollment verification provides information regarding a student's full-time or part-time registration status, dates of attendance, degrees sought or awarded and program of study. A transcript is an official record of a student's academic work, including a list of courses taken, grades received, and credits awarded. An official transcript of a student's academic record at Norfolk State University is available only through the Office of the Registrar, upon the written request of the student.

Unofficial: A written, signed request is required before an unofficial transcript can be released. Enrollment/Degree Verification By Mail: To request a enrollment/degree verification by mail, complete the Request Verification form & mail to: NSU Office of the Registrar, 700 Park Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23504
In person: To request a enrollment/degree verification by in person, complete the Request Verification form and bring to: 212 Student Services Center.
Transcripts: Transcripts are $3.00 via - in person or by mail. Transcripts are $3.00 with a $2.25 processing fee (Total: $5.25) via the Online order form. Unofficial transcripts are free of charge.
Enrollment/Degree Verification: Degree Verifications are FREE in person or by mail. This information is needed to determine eligibility for continuation of benefits.
