Dr. Yatish Shah is joined the Department of Engineering
as a professor in 2011.
He received his B.S. degree in chemcial engineering from University of Michigan.
He received his second Ch.E, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in chemical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr. Shah has a vast academics and administrative experience from top universities in the nation.
Before joining the Engineering department, he was the Chief Operating Officer and Provost at Norfolk State University (2008-2011), University of Central Missouri (2006-2007),
and Missouri University of Science and Technology (2001-2006).
He was also the Chief Research Officer and Sr. V.P. for Research and Graduate Studies at Clemson University (1997-2001), and Dean of Engineering at
Drexel University (1991-1996) and University of Tulsa (1987-1991). He has served on several board of directors in academic institutions as well as industry.
His expertise are in the areas of bioenergy, biofuels and alternative forms of energy.
He has authored five books and numerous book chapters and journal publications in the field of energy systems.
