CETLA will serve as a structure for developing, implementing, and sharing innovative pedagogical and advising methods and will offer a variety of programs:
(i) to increase faculty and staff knowledge of best practices in teaching, learning, assessment, and advising, especially critical thinking, collaborative/cooperative learning, and experiential learning pedagogies;
(ii) to enhance faculty and staff expertise and skills in ensuring student retention, persistence, and graduation;
(iii) to promote the scholarship of teaching, learning, and advising by advancing the teacher-scholar model of faculty work;
(iv) to facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations and collegial environment on campus; and
(v) to support implementation of Pathway 3 of the NSU Quality Enhancement Plan.
