Judge Glenda Hatchett, the first African-American state court Chief Justice, TV personality and two-time Emmy-award nominee, will serve as the keynote speaker for Norfolk State University’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. observance. Hatchett has broken many barriers throughout her career. Most notably, she became Delta Air Lines’ highest-ranking woman of color worldwide during her 10-year tenure with the airline, and later she was the first African-American Chief Presiding Judge of a state court in Georgia when she became the chief presiding judge of the Fulton County (Atlanta, Georgia) Juvenile Court.
