The internship program will take place from June 1 through July 22, 2016. Students will be exposed to research elements of the CASE-V system. Specifically, topics will include machine learning techniques, intrusion detection systems using SNORT, python programming, and virtualization infrastructure using MiniMega. The students will also take part in professional development and networking activities organized by the Undergraduate Summer Research Programs at the College of Science, Engineering and Technology (CSET), including graduate school preparation and application, , research presentations and reports. 15 Students are expected to participate (4 Students supported (DoD & AFRL) and 11 supported by the DoE Consortium for K-20 Cybersecurity Workforce Pipeline project).
