Enhancing Secondary Education (ESE) Online Virginia Communication and Literacy Assessment (VCLA) Summer Bridge Workshop: CONCLUDED

On AUG 9 – AUG 11, 2021, ESE provided intensive workshops, educational assistance, guidance, supplies, and support for students interested in teaching and are preparing to take the VCLA examination. Passing this assessment is a requirement for entry into the Teacher Education program. Also, reviewing the skills necessary to pass is needed to be a licensed teacher in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

To everyone who participated,

Our first summer bridge was a success! A big thank you to all the students who took the time logging in to Zoom every morning. You are the reason why ESE does what we do. These future educators were engaged and engaging in their workshops that were designed in the hopes that they will give students a head start on their academic journeys.

We would like to thank the dynamic instructors and staff who took the extra time this summer interacting with the students. We are grateful for each one’s dedication, enthusiasm, professionalism, and assistance.

To all the students who participated, don't forget to come by the Praxis Lab (RM 161) to receive your Grab Bag full of supplies. Also, we look forward to seeing and hearing your results after taking the VCLA examinations.

Check this page again for future announce of workshops.

Thank you again and good luck in Fall Semester!
