Student, Faculty and Staff Appointment Request

NSU President Eddie N. Moore, Jr. has established a year-long schedule of dates and times to meet with Norfolk State University students, faculty and staff. The goal of this outreach effort is to positively engage students, faculty and staff about the University and its repositioning for the future. Meetings are opportunities for the President and his key constituents to share information, listen and engage in civil conversation with each other.

Note: Students, faculty and staff with specific concerns or unresolved issues are encouraged to seek resolution first through the appropriate process, office or individual, such as (for example) an immediate supervisor, department chair, dean or University administrator.


Faculty and staff are invited to join President Eddie N. Moore, Jr. for Brown Bag Lunch Discussions. Information will be sent out in the Spartan E-Daily or Campus Announcements.

Student Office Hours: Current NSU students can request a 30-minute appointment with the President in his satellite office (room 331) at the Student Center. Student Office hours are generally twice a month on Wednesdays (beginning September 6, 2017) from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Faculty and Staff Office Hours: Current employees can request a 30-minute appointment with the President in his satellite office (room 331) at the Student Center. Faculty and Staff office hours are generally once a month on Wednesdays (beginning November 3, 2017) from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.


Appointments to meet with President Moore can be requested by completing the Appointment Request Form. Identify at least two (2) dates and times and submit your request at least three (3) business days in advance of your preferred date and time.

Reasonable efforts to provide a confirmation of the appointment date/time or an alternate within 48 hours of the request will be made.   - Appointment Request Form

  • All effort will be made to notify you in advance for unforeseen delay or cancellation.

Individuals arriving late for a scheduled meeting are asked to contact the President’s Office at 757-823-8670 to reschedule at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting date and time.
