NSU Receives Towering Gift of $40 Million!

Norfolk State University receives the largest single-donor gift in its 85-year history!  President Javaune Adams-Gaston is proud to accept this 40-million-dollar donation from MacKenzie Scott on behalf of the University and notes that this tremendous donation advances the mission of NSU in support of access, student achievement, and academic excellence.

Norfolk State University Honors Graduates in Virtual Ceremony

Norfolk State University honored its 2020 May and December graduates in a virtual graduation ceremony held on Saturday, December 12. Approximately 870 graduates were conferred degrees.

NSU Receives Grant from Dominion Energy

Students at Norfolk State University will receive support through a $2.7 million grant from Dominion Energy designed to enhance student retention and degree completion, among other initiatives.

Black Ambition HBCU Prize Applications Open, Webinar Dec. 16

Hampton Roads native and music icon Pharrell Williams, a friend and supporter of Norfolk State University, recently announced Black Ambition, a non-profit initiative that will provide a bridge to success for Black and Latinx entrepreneurs who are launching tech, design, healthcare, and consumer products/services start-ups.
