 PASSport Program

Norfolk State University (NSU) Tidewater Community College (TCC), Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC), Danville Community College (DCC) Paul D. Camp Community College (PDCCC) and Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), in a historic and unique collaboration, have developed a Partnership for Academic and Student Success (PASSport) Program. PASSport was created to provide an opportunity for promising students who do not initially meet the NSU admissions requirements to enroll at TCC, TNCC, DCC, PDCCC or NOVA. The PASSport Program is specifically designed to prepare students to meet the academic requirements of NSU. Upon successful completion of all prerequisites students will qualify for guaranteed admission to NSU.

Selection for the PASSport Program is based on performance in high school and SAT/ACT scores. Students who qualify for the program take carefully selected courses at TCC, TNCC, DCC, PDCCC or NOVA which are customized specifically to the student’s academic needs. Eligible students receive a selection letter, attend an orientation session, sign an agreement, and meet monthly with the NSU Community College Liaison and a PASSport Advisor. They also receive a NSU PASSport Student ID, NSU email address and are invited to participate in university cultural, athletic, and social activities.

For more information about The PASSport Program, please contact the Community College Liaison at 823-2766.
