 Checklist

  Mail to NSU

Complete, sign and photocopy for your records, the application and enclose a check or money order for $35, payable to the Norfolk State University. Submit the application to the following address:

REGULAR MAILING ADDRESS
Norfolk State University
Office of Undergraduate Admission
Norfolk Virginia, 23504

  Transcripts

Request official transcripts to be sent directly from all colleges and universities you have attended. An official high school transcript will be needed as well. If you have a GED, please forward a copy of the certificate to the Office of Admission. Transfer applicants do not need to use the School Report Form, Mid Year Report Form, or the Teacher Evaluation forms.

  Scores

If you have completed less than 12 credit hours of college coursework when you apply, you must submit SAT or ACT scores unless you have been out of high school for more than five years. Test scores listed on the high school transcript will be accepted.

   Grades

Official transcripts from all colleges attended must be submitted by the institution(s) to the Office of Admissions.

  Recommendation Letter

A recommendation letter from a professor at your current college or university is also helpful. Although not required for completion of your file, we encourage you to ask a professor to write a letter on your behalf.
