A Summer Academic & Recreation Enrichment Experience for Children in Grades 1 through 5

Program Information
The Norfolk State University’s Summer Scholars program will provide interactive and engaging
academic enrichment for approximately sixty (60) students grades one (1) through
five (5) from the Hampton Roads area. The academic curriculum will foster
learning the subjects of reading, math, foreign language, vocabulary
development, and skills through the use of games, puzzles, songs, projects,
cooperative learning, and field trips. The full-day program will also include a
fun-filled afternoon recreational program that includes activities such as
swimming, dance, music, and sports.
