The Spartan Health Center

The Spartan Health Center is conveniently located in the Spartan Station on the Campus of Norfolk State University.  The Center is staffed with a Medical Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, Licensed Practical Nurse and a Medical Assistant. 

The hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with emergency “on-call” services available.

Accident Insurance

All full time undergraduate domestic students and all international students are required to have some form of accident insurance in order to attend classes. It is mandatory that all international students carry the optional sickness insurance as well.

• Students are automatically enrolled in the accident only portion of the Accident Insurance Plan.
• The annual premium of $100 will be assessed to each student in two equal installments of $50 each semester.

Optional Sickness Plan

Students enrolled in the Accident Medical Expense Benefit and Outpatient Prescription Drug Benefit may add the Optional Sickness Medical Expense Benefit by paying an additional premium. To add the optional Sickness Medical Expense Benefit, click on the link below to enroll.
