Commuter Students Services

 

Commuter Student Services contributes directly and indirectly to the enhancement of the educational experience of all undergraduate commuter students at Norfolk State University. We seek to help you, the commuter student, become an active participant in campus life so that your experience at Norfolk State University is truly satisfying and enriching. We accomplish this by providing services, programs, volunteers, and outreach on your behalf. Involvement is the best way for students to take advantage of what the university has to offer. It allows students to make friends and feel "at home" here at Norfolk State University. We help commuters get involved in campus activities such as Freshman Transition Week, Homecoming, Pep Rallies and the hundreds of activities planned each year at Norfolk State University.

Services

Commuter Student Services functions as a liaison between commuter students and other campus departments. We act as your “One-Stop Center for Information” about things like:

• Workshops
• Mid-week Movie Every Tuesday
• Campus Safety
• Off-Campus Housing Information
• Intramurals
• Wellness Program

Transportation

• Is there street parking?
• How can I get a parking space?
• What is the best way to get on campus?
• Where do I get on the campus shuttle and where does it go?
