 Withdrawal Information

 

Any student who wishes to withdraw from the University must submit an Application for Withdrawal which may be obtained from the academic department, advisor or the Office of the Registrar.

Notification Sent To Instructors Does Not Constitute An Official Withdrawal From The University

It is the students’ responsibility to follow and complete all procedures to withdraw from the University.

Withdrawal Refund Policy

Students may withdraw from the University until December 2, 2011 (Fall), April 27, 2012 (Spring), June 21, 2012 (Summer Terms A & C), and July 19, 2012 (Summer Term B). However, tuition and fee charges are adjusted on a pro-rata basis for students who withdraw according to the following schedule:

FALL 2011

Up to September 2, 2011 $50 Administrative Fee
September 3 – September 9 20% of Tuition and Fees + $50
September 10 – September 16 30% of Tuition and Fees + $50
September 17 – September 23 40% of Tuition and Fees + $50
September 24 – September 30 50% of Tuition and Fees + $50
October 1 – October 7 60% of Tuition and Fees + $50
October 8 – October 14 70% of Tuition and Fees + $50
October 15 – October 21 80% of Tuition and Fees + $50
October 22 – October 28 90% of Tuition and Fees + $50
October 29 and thereafter    100% of Tuition and Fees + $50

 

SPRING 2012

WITHDRAWAL DATE

Up to January 20, 2012 $50 Administrative Fee
January 21 – January 27 20% of Tuition and Fees + $50
January 28 – February 3 30% of Tuition and Fees + $50
February 4 – February 10 40% of Tuition and Fees + $50
February 11 – February 17 50% of Tuition and Fees + $50
February 18 – February 24 60% of Tuition and Fees + $50
February 25 – March 2 70% of Tuition and Fees + $50
March 3 - March 9 80% of Tuition and Fees + $50
March 10 - March 16 90% of Tuition and Fees + $50
March 17 and thereafter    100% of Tuition and Fees + $50

 

SUMMER 2012

WITHDRAWAL DATE

(Terms A & C)

CHARGES TO BE ASSESSED

Up to May 17, 2012 $50 Administrative Fee
May 18 – May 22 50% of Tuition and Fees + $50
May 23 and thereafter 100% of Tuition and Fees + $50
   

WITHDRAWAL DATE

(Term B)

CHARGES TO BE ASSESSED

Up to June 27, 2012 $50 Administrative Fee
June 28 - July 2 50% of Tuition and Fees + $50
July 3 and thereafter 100% of Tuition and Fees + $50

Withdrawal from the University may result in a reduction or cancellation of financial aid awards.  Students receiving financial aid should contact the Financial Aid Office for complete information about their individual situation.

Required Order for Allocating Refunds and Repayment

  • Federal Direct Student Loan Program (FDLP)

  • Federal Perkins Loan Program

  • Federal Pell Grant Program

  • Federal SEOG Program

  • Other Title IV Programs

NOTICE:  Financial aid does not cover charges associated with classes that are audited at the University.
