Student Accounts

 Refund Information

 

Refunds are given only after all University obligations are paid in full.  Financial aid awarded but not received by the University is not considered in the refund calculation.  The refund process will begin approximately seven working days after the last date of class cancellation.  Notifications will be sent to students via their NSU e-mail accounts once refunds have been processed.

Students may sign up to receive refunds via direct deposit to designated bank account.  Banking information can be provided on MyNSU under Spartan Self Service.

 

Refund Period for Dropped Classes

Any student who wishes to drop a class (or classes) will be refunded according to the following schedule:
 

FALL 2011

Students who drop a class after 50% drop date will receive a “W” grade
and the dropped class will be included in the classes attempted for financial aid purposes.

DROP DATE

CHARGES TO BE ASSESSED

Up to August 26 0% of Tuition and Fees
August 27 - September 1 50% of Tuition and Fees
After September 1* 100% of Tuition and Fees

NOTE:  DROPPING A CLASS MAY RESULT IN A
   REDUCTION OR CANCELLATION OF FINANCIAL AID AWARDS.


SPRING 2012

Students who drop a class after 50% drop date will receive a “W” grade and the dropped class will be included in the classes attempted for financial aid purposes.

DROP DATE

CHARGES TO BE ASSESSED

Up to January 13 0% of Tuition and Fees
January 14 - January 19 50% of Tuition and Fees
After January 19* 100% of Tuition and Fees

   REDUCTION OR CANCELLATION OF FINANCIAL AID AWARDS.


SUMMER 2012

Students who drop a class after 50% drop date will receive a “W” grade

DROP DATE (Terms A & C)

CHARGES TO BE ASSESSED

Up to May 17 0% of Tuition and Fees
May 18 - May 22 50% of Tuition and Fees
After May 22* 100% of Tuition and Fees
   

DROP DATE (Term B)

CHARGES TO BE ASSESSED

Up to June 27 0% of Tuition and Fees
June 28 - July 2 50% of Tuition and Fees
After July 2* 100% of Tuition and Fees

   REDUCTION OR CANCELLATION OF FINANCIAL AID AWARDS.



* All drops after the 50% drop date must be processed by the Registrar's Office.  Financial Aid recipients are required to have permission from a Financial Aid Counselor before the drop can be processed.
