Residential Room Deposit/Residential Damage Deposit

All students who desire to live in the residential halls will be required to pay a non-refundable annual housing deposit of $300. Students living on campus for the first time pay a non-refundable residential room deposit of $200.00 and a one time non-refundable residential damage deposit of $100.00. The deposit is due prior to or at the time the residential housing application is submitted. Partial payments are not acceptable. The residential room deposit will be allocated towards current residential charges.

Enrollment Fee Deposit

Upon acceptance to Norfolk State University, all first-time freshmen and transfer students are required to pay a $100 non-refundable enrollment fee deposit. Partial payments will not be accepted.  The enrollment deposit will be allocated towards current charges.

Graduation Deposit

Upon application to graduate from Norfolk State University, all graduating students are required to pay a $130 non-refundable graduation deposit. Students are also required to pay a $30 graduation application fee each time they apply for graduation. Partial payments are not acceptable. The graduation deposit will be allocated towards current charges.

Overpayment Deposit

Students that have not incurred charges on their account can pre-pay for tuition, housing and/or meal plans charges. This money will be placed in an overpayment deposit to be applied toward future charges.
