Norfolk State University is devoted to offering programs that support student success and opportunities to enhance their collegiate experience. The Students Preparing for Academic Rigor in College (SPARC) Summer Bridge Program is a comprehensive, no-cost, four-week academic residential program for incoming freshmen who are recent high school graduates. As an institution, our goal is to leverage campus resources and immerse students in a learning environment that will improve academic competencies as they exemplify Spartan characteristics.
Mission
The Summer Bridge program at NSU is designed to strengthen students’ academic skills, enhance their understanding of essential student support resources, develop a sense of belonging, and ultimately bolster student success. The program activities are complemented with activities to ensure students engage in immersive and meaningful experiences to be successful Spartans.
