| Abstract We tested the
characteristics of a SBIG STL-1001E camera for future use at the
NSU’s RRRT on Fan Mountain, VA. We performed bench measurements of
the basic characteristics of the camera: gain or conversion factor,
read-out noise, linearity, uniformity and dark current properties. The
report is organized in three parts: first we shortly describe the
construction of a low-level light source to produce flat frames;
second, we explain the procedure to obtain and analyze the data; and
finally, we discuss the results and compared them with
manufacturer’s specifications. |
