NSU Space Sciences Education - Planetarium

The NSU Planetarium, located at the NSU campus,  Wood Science Building, room 119, serves as the Space Sciences Education and Public Outreach Resource Center.  The NSU Planetarium regularly sponsors  lecture series to be public, in-service teachers courses and workshops.

 
Contact us if you want your organization to voyage through this theater of stars and explore the universe from the comfort of your seat. We are open free of charge to any educational or civic organization for special planetarium sessions.

"Topics in Modern Astronomy", workshop directed to middle and high school in-service teachers. Held annually in the last week of June.

Telescope Demonstrations Available
 
Currently we are selecting places to hold demonstrations, if your organization, school, or business is interested in an on site telescope demonstration email Dr. Miller at femiller@nsu.edu
 
Teachers Program
Classes for Accreditation in the Earth- Space Sciences
 
Teachers interested in classes for accreditation in the sciences should contact Dr. Miller at femiller@nsu.edu  for information. Two classes are offered in astronomy (Observational Astronomy and Fundamentals of Astronomy) each semester. Workshops are held regularly with speakers from NASA, NSU and other Universities.
