LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

The Spartan Student Leadership Academy is a course held during the fall and spring semesters. Students typically meet once a week for 90 minutes. Students can expect most class sessions to consist of a lecture, 1-2 reading assignments, activities, and a focus on putting theory into practice. The course is separated by 4 content areas:

Introduction to Effective Organizational & Decision Making Skills

Developing the Leader Within

Introduction to Resident Assistant Toolbox 101

Individual Presentations & Group Projects

This course is based on out-of-class reading and assignments as well as in-class discussions and activities which will be used to develop and/or enhance students' leadership skills and assist students in preparation of becoming better critical thinkers and global leaders in the 21st century.
