Midrise Residential Honors College
Purpose:
The Honors Residential Scholars community was built
to establish a strong formal and informal network of
support between residents and members of the NSU academic
community.
How It Works:
All residents in the Honors College are considered Junior
Fellows. In addition, the Honors College houses a “
Scholar-in-Residence” who is a NSU faculty member. Senior
Fellows are non-residential faculty members that hold
classes in the college as well as host non-formal activities
such as dinners in the commons room. This allows
the staff to plan and implement programs that will be
geared towards a students’ academic pursuits and also
gives the students an opportunity to begin networking
within their academic cohort.
Who Can Participate?
Students who have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and are
members or recipients of one of the following Honors Programs: DNIMAS, STARS, OCR, CMR, Board of
Visitors Scholars, Presidential Scholars, Craig
Scholars, and recipients of the Barnes and Noble
Scholarship.
Students with a GPA of 3.0 and above who are not
members of the Honors College will be considered for
assignment to the Midrise Residential Honors College
based on availability.
