Maintenance Reporting

Students
should report all non-emergency maintenance requests
through Fix-It. This online maintenance reporting
system allows students to request repairs to their
room 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
All emergency maintenance problems should be
reported to one of the following individuals: your
residence assistant, graduate assistant, your
residence hall coordinator, any staff person on
duty.
Maintenance requests received to the Fix-It system
will be submitted to Facilities Management Monday
through Friday between the hours of 8:00am and
5:00pm. Requests made after-hours and on weekends
will be entered the following business day.
If your request threatens the safety of yourself,
the campus community, or others call Campus Police
immediately at (757) 823-9000 or (757) 823-8102. If
your repair is an emergency and is not repaired
within 24 hours, please dial (757) 823-2178. All
non-emergency repairs should be completed within
7-10 business days.
If your work order request is still pending after 10
days, please dial (757) 823-2178. For questions or
concerns regarding your repair, email
fixit@nsu.edu.
Angel, Inc. provides pest control services once a
month for all residence halls. Each room and all
common areas are exterminated. A technician is also
available during the school year to handle any
problems that may occur.
Please be advised that in emergency pest control
situations, it may take 24 to 48 hours for an
extermination technician to handle the request.
