Campus
Police
The Norfolk State University Police Department
is responsible for the safety and security of
all members of the Norfolk State University
community. The Police Department is open 24
hours a day, seven days a week. The Emergency
Hotline number is (757) 823-9000.

Counseling
Center
Counseling Services provides a range of counseling
services for NSU students at no charge. Services
include individual and group counseling, crisis
intervention, and educational outreach programming.

Dining
Services
Thompson Hospitality provides NSU with the very
best in food quality and service. By constantly
working to keep up with the ever-changing trends
in campus dining, we are able to offer a terrific
mix of traditional menu options.

Financial
Aid
The purpose of Norfolk State University's financial
aid program is to provide assistance to qualified
students who, without such aid, would be unable
to attend the university.
Aid is awarded on the basis of need as determined
by the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA). Students are expected to
demonstrate, whenever possible, sacrifice of
earned resources and family contribution.

Health
Services
The Spartan Health Center, located in Spartan
Station, provides basic health services for
NSU students, including diagnosis and treatment
of minor illnesses and injuries, emergency medical
care, and health education counseling.

OIT
Help Desk
The NSU helpdesk provides IT support and assistance
to Faculty, Staff and Students of the university
in a variety of areas such as computers, peripherals
and telephones. Resident students who need assistance
with network issues in their room should contact
their respective Residence Hall Coordinator
first.

Parking
Services
Access to Norfolk State University parking facilities
are controlled with the use of valid parking
decals and / or passes issued and monitored
by the Office of Parking & Transportation Services.

Registrar's Office
The Registrar is the official custodian
of academic records and is responsible for
the process of enrolling students in courses,
assessing tuition charges and related fees,
and collecting and maintaining academic
information in accordance with University
policy. The Registrar certifies students
for graduation and is the keeper of the
University seal.
The Registrar is also responsible for calculating
and recording student grades and notifying
students of their enrollment status, including
academic probation and suspension.

Student Accounts
(Cashiers Office)
Student Accounts is the general billing
and collections office for student tuition,
course fees, room and board and other
university-related fees.

Student
Services/Judicial Affairs
The NSU Judicial System serves to promote order
and discipline inherent in and essential to
the educational process of its students. The
Office of Judicial Affairs oversees proceedings
in accordance with the NSU Student Disciplinary
Policies and Procedures.

Activities
The Office of Student Activities is responsible
for the coordination and implementation of a
creative, responsive, and diverse co-curricular
program at NSU. The Office is located in the
Mills E. Godwin Student Center, which supports
a variety of cultural, educational, recreational,
and social activities.

The Division of Student Affairs is committed
to meeting the needs of Norfolk State University
students. They support and strengthen the learning
experience of a diverse student population,
which promotes a living-learning environment.
Students' personal, social, psychological, and
co-curricular needs are meet through the provision
of extensive activities, programs, and services.

Student Support Services is a federally-funded
program which provides a variety of supportive
services for students who meet one or more of

Take advantage of your on-campus source for
