Center for Biotechnology and Biomedical Sciences

The newly launched NSU Center for Biotechnology and Biomedical Sciences currently focuses on three areas: human reproductive biology and the development of safe, reversible male contraceptives, chemistry of animal venoms, and genetics of human cytomegalovirus. Hodge Center for Entrepreneurship

The Center provides leadership, programs, and resources that enable the University to add value to businesses served while immersing students in the entrepreneurial experience. Through multidisciplinary teams, the Center extends knowledge and technical assistance that act to strengthen and expand the number and quality of minority- and women-owned, growth-oriented, and technology-driven businesses.


Center for Strategic & Global Studies

Founded in 2000 the Center for Strategic and Global Studies (CSGS) was created to provide interdisciplinary analysis of contemporary issues related to foreign policy, international relations, military strategy, politics and national security.
 

Rapid Response Robotic Telescope

The RRRT will be a fully automated 24" RC telescope dedicated to the study of astronomical transient phenomena. Current projects include  the photometry and polarimetry of Gamma-ray Bursts optical afterglows, compact stars, near-earth objects (NEO), Blazars and searches for supernovae and exo-planets.

Nuclear & Particle Physics Group

The NSU Nuclear & Particle Physics (NPP) group performs experimental research on the nature of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) at intermediate energies. The group is involved in several experiments at the nearby Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (JLab), Newport News, VA.
