Residence Halls Visitation
The residence hall lounges are open to visitors only during scheduled
hours. The visitation hours are posted at the main desk.
- Visitors must present
valid pictured identification upon entering the main lobby of each residence
hall.
- Resident visitors must be accompanied at all times.
- Residents are
responsible for the behavior of their guests.
- Residence halls are closed to
guests during the examination periods.
- Parents are encouraged to visit students
and must also adhere to the visitation policy.
- Parents will not be permitted
to spend the night in the residence halls.

Visitation Hours
- Sunday through
Thursday 9:00 a.m.-11:45 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 a. m.

Overnight Guests
- Overnight guests (same sex) must obtain a guest pass.
- Overnight guest passes are issued by the Residential Life Housing Office
- Request for passes must be received no later than the Thursday prior to the
visit
- Approved overnight passes can be picked up from the Residential Life
Office on Fridays after 12noon

Co-educational Visitation Guest Policy
All
residents may host a guest in his or her room in a manner consistent with the
visitation policy for each living unit. All visitors must leave a valid pictured
identification card and sign-in/out with the housing staff on duty. Co-ed study
groups are allowed in the study rooms on weekdays. Maximum size of a study group
is five participants per group.
Co-Education Visitation Hours
- Sunday through
Thursday 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Co-ed Visitation Rules
- Visitor - An NSU Student must register at the front
desk.
- A Non-NSU Student must obtain a visitor’s pass from the Coordinator of
the Residence Hall prior to arrival (parents excluded).
- All visitors must
carry passes with them at all times.
- Members of the opposite gender must use
lobby restrooms and are not permitted to use the showers at any time.
- Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated (sexual contact, parties, loud
music, profane language, etc.)
