Once you have established
network access at the university and your specific technology needs have been
determined, we can help you get acquainted with the software and systems we use
through:

of training and reference material
Integrated Financial and Administrative Solutions (IFAS) Training
- This system
allows authorized faculty, staff, and administrators to access university
accounting records through the use of general ledger, purchasing, accounts
payable, accounts receivable, check management, encumbrances, and nucleus
modules. We have also incorporated the use of two web based modules for
Human Resources and Fixed Assets.
- Training is
offered through hands-on classroom sessions.
- Registration
is required to attend training sessions. Users must register through the
IFAS Training System (ITS) online reservation tool.


Datatel-Colleague Training
- This system
allows faculty, staff, and administrators to process student-related data
and includes modules for academic records, accounts receivable, admissions
management, campus organizations, curriculum management, faculty
information, financial aid, personal demographics, registration, and
residence life. Additionally, Query Builder is used as the reporting tool
for Colleague.
- Training is
offered through hands-on classroom sessions.
- Registration
is required to attend training sessions. Users may register by e-mailing Mr.
Allen Miller (Enterprise Information Systems) at
admiller@nsu.edu.

Technology Training
- The
Virtualization and Collaboration Center (VCC) offers a unique and
well-equipped environment for collaborative learning and training. It is
here that NSU faculty and staff come to gain more knowledge through hands-on
training sessions to learn about Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word,
Excel, Outlook). Many of the training topics are being offered through
online video tutorials,
iTunes
University, and a reference and training guide catalog.
