Dear New Student:
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the
School of Education at Norfolk State University where our
teacher education programs are fully accredited by the
National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. We
look forward to your arrival. You will
find a well-qualified faculty, a congenial and supportive
staff, and fellow students with whom you can bond
immediately. Because you have chosen to major in teacher
education, you will be required to take and pass the Praxis
I assessment. I am suggesting that you peruse the website to
familiarize yourself with the assessment so you will be
prepared for the pre-test that will be administered to you
early in the semester.
