Dear School of Business Student:
Welcome to the School of Business at Norfolk State
University. We are pleased that you chose to join us for
your business education. You will be proud to know that
NSU’s School of Business is accredited by AACSB
International. Gaining AACSB accreditation requires
state-of-the art curricula, excellence in instruction, and a
highly qualified faculty committed to students’ personal as
well as professional growth. It is the ultimate seal of
approval a business school can receive, guaranteeing
students a first-rate business education, and employers a
well-prepared graduate. We wish you every success as you
pursue your studies with us.
To assist you with the
transition to NSU generally and the School of Business
specifically, NSU’s "Reading Program" requires all new
students to read two books. The first will be read by
incoming freshmen and transfer students; the second is an
additional requirement for all School of Business majors.
The books you need to read before arriving on campus are as follows:
1. Who Moved My Cheese? (
by Spencer Johnson)
2. Ethics 101: What Every Leader Needs to Know (by John C.
Maxwell)
Both are available in most
bookstores. You may also save by ordering used copies
online. You will be discussing these readings in the UNI 101
course. (UNI 101 is a required course for graduation from
NSU.)
I look forward to meeting you and hope that you become
actively involved in the life of the School of Business.
BEHOLD THE GREEN AND GOLD!
