Educators Association Holds
First Formal Hall of
Fame Induction
Norfolk, Va.
— The
Norfolk State Chapter of the Student Virginia Education
Association is holding its first formal Golden Apples
Hall of Fame Induction ceremony, at 4 p.m., Friday,
January 4, 2008 in Room 106 of the Bozeman Education
Building, which is located on the campus of Norfolk
State University.
The inductees have
exemplified a commitment to public education, support
teacher education and support and enhance the efforts of
Norfolk State’s Student Virginia Education Association.
This year’s Golden Apples Hall of Fame inductees are
Monte Mercer, president of the Education Association of
Norfolk; Beatrice Hale, Education Program Specialist,
NSU School of Education; Velma Naylor, Administrative
Assistant, NSU School of Education; Shontre Outlaw, an
elementary education major and Cedrick Garrett, also an
elementary education major.
