Norfolk State University Hosts Financial Aid Super
Saturday
Norfolk, Va.—Norfolk
State University
and the Virginia Association of Student Financial Aid
Administrators will present Financial Aid Super Saturday
on Feb. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the L. Douglas
Wilder Performing Arts Center, which is located on the
NSU campus.
This event is open
to all individuals interested in pursuing a college
education. High school students are encouraged to bring
their parents. Participants will have the opportunity
to meet one-on-one with a financial aid counselor to ask
questions and get advice; review the free application
for federal student aid (FAFSA); the opportunity to
attend the Finding Money for College
presentation; and a chance to win a $100 book
scholarship to the institution of their choice.
Participants interested
in tax preparation or FAFSA assistance should bring the
following items:

Education Personal Identification Number for
applicant and parent/spouse. Apply at www.pin.ed.gov

Number for applicant and parent/spouse

2006 Federal Income
Tax Return for applicant and parent/spouse

2006 W-2 Forms for
applicant and parent/spouse, and other records of
income earned

2006 family’s
untaxed income records (social security, temporary
assistance to needy family (TANF), or VA benefits
-
Final pay stubs for
2006 for applicant and parent/spouse or 2005 tax
return (if 2006 taxes are not yet filed)
