NSU Hosts Community Forum on Holiday Blues Prevention
Norfolk, Va.—Norfolk State University will host its fourth community forum titled Holiday Blues Prevention on Monday, Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to noon at the L. Douglas Wilder Performing Arts Center, Room B.
The community forum series is designed to increase community awareness about current issues; assess socio-economic, political and environmental issues facing our society; integrate immediate strategies and proactive solutions into actions that will promote the welfare of the community and the University; engage stakeholders in building community involvement partnerships; and to promote NSU’s commitment to community service by providing information from faculty experts.
The forum panelists will include: Curtis Greaves, director of the counseling center at Norfolk State University; Mark Hubbard, public relations officer at the Virginia Credit Union; and Linda Lewter, counselor at the Young Women Christian Association. This forum will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about decreasing debt and smart spending during the upcoming holiday season.
The forums are free and open to the public and geared towards community leaders, grassroots organizations, civic leaders, media representatives, religious organizations and other interested organizations.
