NSU Admissions
Sets Deadline for Registration for Students Displaced by
Hurricane Katrina
Norfolk, Va.—
In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, NSU has enrolled
14 students from colleges and universities in Alabama,
Louisiana and Mississippi. University departments
continue to work with current NSU students whose
hometowns were located in hurricane impacted area. Under
the authorization of the Governor’s Executive Order #97,
NSU has waived tuition and other fees for these
students.
NSU students, faculty,
and staff are rallying to the cause of our students
impacted by this disaster by donating money, starting
food and clothing drives, and volunteering with
community disaster relief organizations.
The need is still great
and we need your help. Contributions should be made to
the Norfolk State University Foundation for the
Hurricane Victims Relief Fund. Send contributions to
