NSU's School of Social Work and God's X Gangsters, a
faith based group serving at-risk urban youth, will
be the Virginia Gang Reduction Summit. The summit will
be held Saturday, September 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 4
p.m. at the L. Douglas Wilder Performing Arts Center.
Workshops on gang prevention, intervention, coalition
building and networking, an overview on the need for
gang reduction work and potential future funding sources
for that work will be held. Speakers form various
federal, state, and local public service teams will join
NSU faculty and speakers from God's X Gangsters in
presenting the workshops.
