Pre-Registration for NSU’s
Annual Women’s Conference Begins
Norfolk, Va.—Norfolk State University’s
Virginia Beach Higher Education Center will host Women
Achieving With Excellence: Think It, Do It, Accomplish It,
an annual conference dedicated to women on Tuesday, Sept.
27th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Center is located at
1881 University Drive in Virginia Beach.
The conference will focus on professionalism, empowerment,
sisterhood, and day-to-day challenges that women face. It
will feature a series of workshops mixed with networking
opportunities. Participants will learn about women’s
financial empowerment, health issues, meeting today’s
challenges, and a host of other topics.
Keynote speakers include WVEC Channel 13 evening news anchor
Regina Mobley; Rowena J. Fullinwinder, president and owner
of Rowena’s, Inc.; Jean Loxley Barnard, president and
publisher of The Shopper; Danielle McDole, president and
owner of Everyday Lending; and Dr. Angela L. Corprew-Boyd,
founder of Women Empowered in the Millennium, Inc.
The cost of the conference, which includes a continental
breakfast, lunch, and conference material, is $99.00.
Optional personal pampering sessions will include manicures,
mini shoulder and neck massages, hair stylists, massage
treatments, and facials will be available throughout the
lunch break for a nominal fee, as well as a number of
vendors with items every women wants and needs.
Due to limited space, pre-registration is preferred. The
