NSU 2005 Summer Scholars
Program Registration Begins May 16th
Norfolk, Va.—Norfolk State University’s Summer Scholars
program will begin registration for children in grades one
through five Monday, May 16-Tuesday, June 7 from 8 a.m. to 4
p.m. at the James Bowser Bldg, Room 118D, which is located
on the NSU campus. The program, which runs daily from 8 a.m.
to 4 p.m. beginning Monday, June 20, will provide
interactive and engaging academic enrichment as well as
recreational activities.
The academic curriculum will foster learning in the subjects
of math, foreign language, computer skills, music and more.
Hands-on classes that enhance SOL math skills, spelling,
vocabulary and being conversation in Spanish will be
conducted. The full day program will also include a
fun-filled afternoon recreational program that includes
activities such as drama, swimming and sports.
The Summer Scholars registration fee is $75. The cost of the
entire program, which includes lunch and field trips, is
