NSU Rector to Receive Humanitarian Award
Norfolk, Va.—Jack L. Ezzell, Jr., rector of
the NSU Board of Visitors, will receive a humanitarian award
from the Virginia Region-Peninsula Chapter of the National
Conference for Community and Justice. The 37th Annual
Humanitarian Awards Dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 10 at the Holiday Inn Hampton Hotel and
Conference Center.
A member of the NSU BOV since 2001 Ezzell, who is one of
five of the 2005 recipients, will receive the award for his
dedication and personal commitment to the promotion of
respect and understanding among people of diverse racial,
ethnic and religious backgrounds.
Founded in 1927, the NCCJ is a human relations organization
dedicated to fighting bias, bigotry and racism in America.
NCCJ provides advocacy, conflict resolution, and educational
programs in its quest to promote understanding and respect
amongst all people.
