NSU President to Receive Women’s Achievement Award

Norfolk, Va.—The Zonta Club of Hampton Roads will recognize NSU President Marie V. McDemmond for her efforts to improve the status of women in the Hampton Roads area at its 4th Annual Women’s Achievement Awards.

Sponsored by Cox Communications, the awards dinner and ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 9 at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Virginia Beach.

Founded in 1919, Zonta International is a global service organization of executives in business and professionals working together, across political and social boundaries, to advance the status of women worldwide. Zonta International members volunteer their time, talents and money to local and international service programs, as well as scholarship and award programs aimed at furthering women's education, leadership and youth development.
